Opinion corrected to July 8, 2007:

Rather than list the CHARACTERISTICS, I'll give the pros and cons of bte.

First, the Andromeda does things that no other synth is:
- 16 votes pure analog
- Management and aftertouch VLOC perfect from the keyboard. It has a keyboard is used for 1800 EUR 16 voice poly with 2 CSO voice and a great keyboard at Studio Electronics gentlemen that sell for 8000 EUR a "CODE" Rack 8 votes!
- 2 simulatan filters on each voice, with LP, HP, BP Notch simultaneously!
- 2 OSC with Pulse, Square, saw sorting and sine simultaneously (plus a sub by OSC!)
- Opportunities to indict an analog modulations.
- The digital effects of qualitbr /> - a + a sequencer arpeggiator
- A widescreen ...
- A ribbon which allows for expression by combining the live rollers. Coupled to the filter is the foot

In short everything in a same synth there is no choice whatever your budget, The Andromeda A6.

UTILIZATION

Use a bit due to these possibilities Drout routing. The look is a bit to something. But you get used to it quickly.
Admittedly, the digital notch helps a lot, which is unique for a pure analog.
I personally find that the edition is very easy, starting one is a little apple, but even without the doc is an analog synth in style.
A section CSO ue mixer section, a filter section, a section envelopes and LFO section, after 10 minutes, everything becomes clear and the great look of the synth does not make it complicated sys. The hardest part is the management of modulation, because everything can be modulated which makes a lot of small buttons for each section. But these buttons are always the same, mo1, mod2, mod3 then frankly it's really a synth trs simple to use. It uses little live without problem.

SOUNDS

I must say that I correct my criticism compltement while leaving bugs that will probably never be fixed. Personally I do not met the boards

Despite these bugs are trs is big but be careful:
- Do not rely on the presets that have manufactured era t or silent mode to sound too much with arpeggiator sequencer + effects + ... it sounds because the plug-in effects, when there are too many spoil the sound.
- Remove the effects and try to leave a saw her with a pure and simple.
- CSOs can indict a range of sounds on this type of synth. The only synths have all gnrateurs that produce sound are those of simultanment Studio electronics and the latest Minimoog. Have, Saw, PMW, Sine, TRI, SQR plus 3 + possibility of noise from an external source and that for each CSO with the possibility of mixing these gnrateurs is enormous.
- CSOs can be more syncho with the ring mod through a wide range of modulation. By using the 'filter off' (yet is a good idea) that we keep CSOs and stamps can be made that no other synth can produce.
- The filters are really unique too. They do not go on like lollipop Moog and it is a shame, but as for CSOs instead of having the choice between BP, Lowpass, Notch and HighPass, you have everything at once! And you can mix your exact. The still full of sounds and new possibilities.
- The effects can magnify the sound if they are utiliss properly, do not use a long reverb on a bass for example.
- The sequencer and arpeggiator are top add something more in the machine, no computer is just a prototype piece!

Comparison:
- The Omega 8 has only 8 votes, it has better filters but the arpeggiator sucks, these CSOs are precise and clean sound but with much fewer opportunities. For example impossible to make tablecloths complex as the A6 can do. Against it by a sound that pierces the mix like no other device.
- The Memorymoog a huge sound and a dynamic top. But he makes sounds that do not ncessite polyphony. No water comes out of this scalable device, so a Minimoog did the same the case, although I think the Mini has less grain and EHJV the Memory.
- A Prophet V is what most resembles a AndroMDA. A powerful machine and trs music, but little memory, and much less opportunity than the Andromeda, I guarantee you that the Andromeda sounds almost as good and as expressive as the Prophet V if it is well programm.
... the list is long, but now his issue, the Andromeda is unique and has a palette Audible C Virus (question options) with the grain analogue inimitable. It can do everything, but it is much better to make the squence and ground, keyboards too.

Another major defect that can not Memorymooog, Prophet and Studio Electronics, with increasing resonance of the filter decreases the volume ... impossible to 'shout' sound like a Moog.

OVERALL OPINION

I change my overall opinion. It should not cost this machine shop.
Must
- Remove the effects
- Turn off the arpeggiator
- Cut filters
- From a simple sound of a single CSO

Then and gradually add the second OSC, filters, modulations and seq.
The Andromeda you'll see that no such effect is a pure analog device with a real his inimitable.
Impossible to do what the Andromeda with another synth on the other hand it is easy to do much better than other more expensive polyphonic ...
For approximately 1800 EUR hand, it is a synth that I think over time will have a rating that will rev up high, a voice polyphonic analog 16, it would now nine in 8000 EUR. .. Poly Evolver example has only 4 voices ...
Watch for its rating, there are still new in the shop but when the view stocks will be sold, this unit will be worth £ 4000 secondhand ...
So the Andromeda will not see competitive landscape in the coming years.
