I bought this Italian made hybrid 50-60 watt amp (solid state pre-amp and tube power amp) used. This Vox clone has 1 clean channel and 1 channel with reverb and vibrato (tremolo). The 4 ohm speaker cabinet is enclosed and the two 12 inch speakers are set up diagonally one over the other. Amp operates on 120/240 volts. Made in Recanati in the late 60's or early 70's by one of the largest manufacturers in Europe ..... EKO

Very clean sound. Quite loud and very adequate for gigging in bars. I crank it up to about 4 and lower the volume with the guitar or volume pedal. Starts to distort at about 5. Fantastic tremolo and adequate spring reverb powered by a 12AX7 tube. Very quiet even when cranked up. Huge range of tone from very boomy bass to very high dry treble.

Seems to be very solidly made. I am hard on my stuff. All the corners are protected by metal. The handles seem solid because the head and the bottom are heavey.

I like a clean sound. My clean sound really cuts through the mix without it having to be loud. Great for Beatles music. Yet, a quick switch on my guitar and I can get a clean boomy sound. With a Rat I get great distortion and searing sustain and with an Ibanez Super Tube STL, I get smooth singing response from the amp.
