Value For Money : Excellent
The LowDown LD175 (transistor amp) has a bowl 15 inches 175 Watts present goods!

On this little monster, five amp models Clean, R & B, Rock, Brit and Grind.
Add to that, five types of effects of variability impressive (SYNTH, ENVELOPE, FILTER, OCTAVER, CHORUS).

You'll find:
- 2 inputs for active and passive basses
- Buttons (nice chrome) settings of Drive, BASS, LOW MID, HI MID and TREBLE, VOLUME (évidement. ..) CHANNEL VOLUME (to set your amp volume + effect memorized)
- DEEP order: special equalization operator gives more punch to the sound
- 4 buttons preset sounds stored (36 with FBV Shortboard of Line 6), controls with a FBV
(Always in Line6)
- A button tuner, allowing to tune your bass
- One XLR
- A (tiny) button switching the "HORN", a tweeter that exist only on models 175 and 300 Watts of Lowdown. For fans of Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Metal ...
- An entry 1 / 8 th of an inch (CD, mp3 ...) to play on your songs
- A headphone ... It is when you have scruples to kill "sonically" your neighbors, I think ...

I do not put (the) 9 because I did not understand why the buttons LFT tweeter and GND are tiny ... Hey guys! you think about our big fingers bass player ;-). But only not to put around 10.

I can only invite you to visit Line6 at: https://fr.line6.com/lowdown/ld175.html that will give you more information.

UTILIZATION

Need to be addressed (somewhat ...) on configuration, but I think it's anything new batch.

The manual (in particular French, and not in faultless style SMS) is super clear and didactic.

For his ... It's always the same ... What I can say is that with my P-Bass Active, CA tore his RACE! I do not like some of demagoguery, and I have shares or Fender, or in Line6. In any case the combination is excellent.

I agree completely comments Welby for the LD150, with the difference of the Gammell 15 inches and a few watts, and more ...

SOUNDS

A huge pleasure to play with here ...

Being a bit of fiber and Blues Rock, I'm not a fan of the synth (it's special anyway), but it's worth it to look a while. The four tones give me the flexibility ... It's pretty crazy, even if you will (obviously) never a big fat sound Lamps. Please note you have, in fact, several amps and a full effect, making it an excellent companion

Clean:
Inspired by the Eden Traveler. Clear bass sound, funk and fusion.

R & B
Inspired by a B-15 Flip Top, 1968. Bass sounds clear and thick in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Rock:
My favorite, inspired by the AMPEG SVT 1974. Terrible!

Brit:
Based in the Marshall Super Bass, 1968. Saturated bass sound of British rock pioneers (and Who Cream ..)

Grind:
For fans of more contemporary rock. Based on a SansAmp PSA-1 with distortion feeding a SVT, all mixed in a direct clean bass signal, this model produces a clear and powerful.

Synth:
After the order of models, you will find a secret weapon in molting your LowDown bass synth 1970s. This model delivers amazing sounds ranging from funk to modern rock by restoring the slightest nuance of dynamics! It's still a bit Star Wars ...

I use some effects and can not give an opinion on it ... In any case, here there and I just say that it is friendly enough ...

OVERALL OPINION

I have this amp for 4 months ... This is not a trial after 2 minutes or test done in any conditions I have for this amp. It weighs 33 pounds (I think) it is easily transportable and robust. A bass player does not stop here .. huh?!

I played Peavey, Dean Markley particular, tried the LD300 and know several other ranges and prices ... I think it's by far the best quality / price / power / etc that I know.

The diversity of his sound palette is very extensive. With its 15-inch bowl is "very" effective and largely convinced me.

Not ready to sell it ...
