AMS Neve Ltd will unveil three new products at the 2008 NAB Show — the DMC console, CineFile multi-format recorder/dubber, and the 4081 Quad Mic Preamp.

Also on hand will be the recently released Neve Genesys recording console.

The Digital Multimedia Console (DMC) builds on the success of the DFC film-mixing console. It has been designed to deliver comprehensive mix and DAW control capabilities at an low price. The standard package adds the AMS Neve sound, EQ and Dynamics to all your mixes and provides the full stereo and 7.1 surround monitoring modes featured on our DFC Gemini consoles.

CineFile is a brand new, purpose built multi-format recorder/dubber drawing on AMS Neve hard disk recording technology. We’re told that the result is a new design using the latest technology specially developed to place the emphasis on reliability, sound quality and ease of use. Open, multiple format support lets the client record in the delivery format of their choice without being “locked in” to a single format. Integrated automation allows simultaneous automation and audio re-conform.

The 4081 Quad Mic Preamp builds on the 1081 and 1081R modules and provides control and the Neve sound. Suitable for vocals, ADR and Foley Recording. We’re told that every function of the 4081 can be controlled directly from the front panel or by remote control using a Mac- or Intel-based computer with Neve Remote Control software. This apparently provides a simple and elegant solution for users of Pro Tools, Nuendo, Cubase and similar DAW systems. Multiple 4081 units can be linked together to create up to 64 independent channels of Mic-Preamps or Line Level inputs — all controlled from a single computer.
