The sounds they are suitable to your style of music?
No, I'm looking for more vintage sounds
Are they realistic?
little, at least in the grooves provided by the plant;
but looking around and using all its possibilities, we can make very pretty things.
For example, there's Ghost Notes feature that I like enough:
typing rhythm, and the box takes care of the punctuation with the snare

The effects are they effective and responsive?
yes, as always with Roland, it is consistent, but do not expect the "big sound".

OVERALL OPINION

It's a good machine, a bit dated in terms of sound above all.
In this regard, we find the colors Roland (prog sounds super Quartet, for example) and expander as the JV-1010.

the most for me
-4 Outputs audio sounds to work separately (but there are still some restrictions on assignments)
SPDIF-taking, that's very cool for use with a computer
-500 Grooves low battery pre-recorded in "all" styles.
knob one-volume for low and one for the battery.
-The concept: a low and a battery at the touch of "on" (that's what decided my purchase)

Least for me:
A lot of groove-oriented rock is hard (but it is not my area, so not very useful for me).
I made the play through because EZdrummer sounds have not aged too much for my taste.
"It is very artificial anyway

I bought it used, and I do not regret it,
because it is a working tool friendly (but for me nothing more than a working tool);
It is there, ready to use, and boom, it was on a low and a batt without turning on computer, prog etc ...
I charge my grooves to me and I have something to work on.

At first it's very inspiring because it offers a lot of ideas which may have to leave.

There are still a lot of other options that I does not because I use very little.
My opinion is far from complete

In the end, I think this box has had its day, but will remain a pleasant companion to tinker
