« A nice tool to work with »

All connectors that are needed studio and live.

Yes there is indeed an effects section that guitarists will appreciate. We plug in on the DR880, via a knob to mix in, adjust the volume on one's guitar / piano and you can access the Boss known effect.

There are many many sounds. All styles are represented. More importantly, they are fully editable, customizable ... Which allows us to create a favorite set of drums.

The sequencer offers many possibilities. It is very well built as it can either record in real time by typing directly on the pads or in step mode.

UTILIZATION

It's simple, it's easy, it's Boss. I'm not a psa drummer and yet I made up my own drums entirely. I plug in my piano in midi and it allows me to write the bass.

The manual is very clear but the DR880 is very intuitive, we use the manual very rarely.

Complete Edition. This means both that you can completely create your drums then your piece but that also it means that it will take a little time.

SOUNDS

I play Blues Jazz Funk so it suits me. More generally, I would say that it was created with the rocker in mind, or for hard rock, pop. In the styles of Cuban and salsa, the perceived are good but the beats are more difficult to ring.

Several features are great: easy made (in 2 seconds you produce your drum gimmick funk or rock or pop), part song, the quality of the presets is really correct, for some, there is not much to edit.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years now and it is a perfect tool: square play, compose and understand the structure of songs, put them in the place of the drummer and bassist in writing their parts ..

The criticisms that I can make:
- Sounds, compared to electronic VDrum drums are not as good. In any case, you must edit them to improve
- Does not work on battery
- The possibilities are unlimited, but then the result is that sometimes it is a bit long to write a little line quickly. r
- I have big fingers so the pads are a bit small for me

The value for money is magical.
The DR880 is in good buy. I carry it non-stop rolled up in a sweatshirt and it is very resistant.

PS: for people who criticize the small memory of the DR880, I'm writing dozens of songs (I said no song pattern) and I'm not out of memory. Actually, create all your little patterns, then put them one after another in the song mode.
