«  the sound of the forties ... »

Published on 08/11/12 at 02:04
This mic is in line Melodium products,
this model is particularly aimed at the general public (necessarily wealthy at the time)
membrane round aluminum (+ /-20mm)
internal impedance transformer (with a turns ratio of 1:40)
DC resistance of the micro is 7 ohms (internal measure)
DC resistance of 1000 ohms transformer
the sound is very distinctive: midrange bite, resonances metal ...
it is put into the category of microphones for harmonica (whatever it is impractical to hold in hand with a harmonica)
or equity instrument or a song like "retro jazz"
not need to plug foobar stuff sound vintage ...
balanced output (solder in the microwave)
the output level is low on a modern table because it was calculated to operate on grafted tube (usually one or ECC83 EF86)

OVERALL OPINION

it sounds very "Berthe Sylva"
