Taiwanese manufacturing.
Mine is painted color between red and burgundy.
Alder body, maple and rosewood handle.
Rather massive easel and very well machined.
The handle has a template and ergonomics is between the Jazzbass and precision.Ni too thin nor too fat what!
24 cases but access to treble a bit difficult given the talon.Perso I am rarely venture beyond the 17th fret so it's fine with me.
2 large pickups (double or single coil?) With passive electronics Jazzbass type, ie a micro volume and tone .Unlike to what was said there, for me it is the best in terms of simplicity and effectiveness every sound you need are there .Then fingers do the rest.

UTILIZATION

It is light but not as an Ibanez SR (do not fool around).
Great balance, not itchy head.
Very enjoyable to play even for hours.

SOUNDS

I'm bassist for 25 years and I touch a lot of style.
Very versatile, can play just about everything with.
Of course it will not be appropriate if a Warwick or Spector-type sound is desired.
But she defended pretty well.
I have a small reserve on the bridge pickup is missing a little bit of grain when he is all alone but but you can easily fix the amp.
I play on a small 30w Fender at home and a Fender BXR Group 200w.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for now 3 used ans.Achetée 130 euros.
It was difficult at the beginning .Changement playable strings (45-100).
Total adjustment handle bridge harmonics etc ...
Screwing the knobs, jack, cleaning, brief I redid him health.
I've owned quite a few others in a lower price range from 300 euros to 2000 euros.
So I can compare objectively.
Of course this little Yamaha does not compete with an American fender but if we compare with Mexico, there's no picture, I keep mine.
I have not talked about .She finish is exemplary, no drooling, nothing is sticking.
Yamaha has always paid special attention to the finish and whatever the price range.

This bass has become my bass to do all that I can take it anywhere without stressing out and I would do without hesitation that choice.
