I just purchased the piano of my dreams: A Yamaha CP-70b Electric Grand Piano! No need to signify my joy: this instrument is incontestable very well designed and has truly earned his commercial and artistic success: all the greats have played on it and there are numerous productions and even 2000 or 70-80-90 is present.

Released in the mid-70s, or time machines were built to last, sturdy, easily repairable, but furiously heavy! All wood and metal, with real strings and hammers, a true piano sound traditional, even in a cast of small, three-part windows. It's silver and have a strong back you would be advised!

The feel is quite comparable to a piano or another, the dynamic is nonetheless lower, the hammers are shorter and the strings harder. Being designed for the stage, assembling well studied, is quite simple and two flight-cases, you can walk around a real piano without having to constantly retune, it is very good agreement, as the temperature differences as vagaries of transportation, try to find it in a recent piano!

The sound is very clean and crystalline. The bass sounded a bit dry, but they are composed of only one string per note, against two for the treble. You can play in your apartment without annoy your family, or without disturbing the neighbors, the sound is less important, and raising the top cover, you can make it clearer.

But what makes the interest of this piano, among other interests he inspires is the fact that we can amplify it without problem: two two cables or XLR jack on a mixer a bit set, and you get the piano sound for years 70/80. To me the soaring music of Phil Collins, Vangelis or Tony Banks! You can also apos generator because as a pedal and adjust the sound with an equalizer Bass / Middle / Treble. There is also a generator tremolo which you can adjust the amplitude and depth.

It is true that this instrument has been left in the second half of the 80s, following the advent of digital pianos, but given to the style of the day by Keane's side went up and he started to become scarce. But given its quality and its many advantages (such as its small size, its continuance of the Agreement, the reliable electronic, recording his practicality, his look, his reputation) he deserves spends 2,000 euros It ages very well and spare parts still exist.

A must have when looking for a real piano strings, but if you have poor health, do not tour with!
