About three years.

* Did you try many other models before getting this one?

The FD-7 with PD7

* Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...

No. The rocking of the pad triggers and causes undesirable cuts in the mid-open areas.
I'll separate for CY-12 associated with the FD-7.
* What thing do you like most/least about it?

The touch pad is more comfortable than conventional rubber pad. At the very least I described above.
Having to install a hi-hat pedal is more natural course, but it generates much more noise than the neighbors will not appreciate. The precision of control is identical to the FD-7 except that there is this problem of balancing the e-cymbal creates cuts.

* What is your opinion about the value for the price?

Too expensive, like all Roland products.
