Hi I have the same problem with my zaoued quatafire
I was pretty much the same config pentium 4 2.8 ghz
1GB RAM 80 GB HDD 7200tr cubase sx 3
I bought the quatafire 1 week ago, the galley!
First I buy a firewire card trendnec € 19 to connect the quatafire
I install the drivers 1.19 no problems, I try to play an audio file the sound is completely distorted, jerk, though I do not own a wheelbarrow.
I tried a lot of manipulation, nothing to do (disabling the sound card built into the motherboard, formatting, reinstalling xp ... .. nothing)
