This card has exactly what I need. Only one input jack 6.35 would have been the welcome ...
I use Cubase SX, REASON3 and Sonar4 and CoolEditPro with a friend.
Laptop Fujistsu AMILO D7830, 2.8 GHz, 768 MB RAM, 30 GB internal + 200 GB External ...

UTILIZATION

The installation did not ask for major problems, but I had a bit of a flip anyway ... The manual and driver CD did not seem to agree. ... I think I had a CD of recent pilot with an old manual ..... In short, when I wanted to install the drivers for the Audiophile, it start the installation of the 410 .... Until then, I thought the pilot may be the same, but in the second part of the install, crash .... In fact, I explored the cd and I proceeded as follows: open the folder that contains the drivers for the 1814, and run a setup called AudiophileFamily or something like that .... not super developed all this .... Anyway, it works, I have the control panel of the Audiophile and my software is pleased ......

OVERALL OPINION

I have been 2 weeks now, and it turns the fire of God. I had no crashes yet in spite of thoroughly tested, and excessive loads of plug-ins, it's all very well .... A buy again!

My use

I invested in this card for its versatility, Midi, 4 RCA, firewire.Je me is way out of a stereo and two mono channels on my console

My config

Asus A6G Laptop Pentium M 1.6, 512 ddr 333, 60GB HDD + 20 GB external (samples)

This card is connected to my laptop, my laptop own MIDI controller (BCR2000) and m'audio is connected to a midi ea-1, and 3-way analog console of my yamaha (next hardware, drum machine style jomox and hardware multi-effect)

use after the knobs of facades show of weakness which demonstrates the quality of the product!!
Latency is correct less than 10 ms as most M-Audio card but can not be obtained against a calibration correct.Plus prcisement twelve o'clock he had to buy a MIDI module to get to my end.
As a force to change the sound card ca M-Audio does not sound so exellent and twelve o'clock that did absolutely not!!

I had an old sound blaster card and a lot of latency issues. I had to buy all the beautiful sound cards trade has nothing to do. So I buy this card.
I was not looking for a record on, I know it's not a card for that.

UTILIZATION

No installation problems.
The interface is fairly complicated. Clearly if there is a novice understand anything ...
No way to record what is meant or select what you want to save it.

FIRST USE: very happy. No latency or so you really have to go ...
After a few uses I have had many problems. The machine will turn off by itself and must restart the computer to make sure it works. Ca ca me just about every 3 hours.
This is probably the self-supplied. The Shift of drivers has not solved the problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years now and I do with my problems of power supply.
Without these problems (which apparently I am only one to have) the price is right.

The interest I had in purchasing this card is to have 2 analog outputs, one for broadcast for a pfl.

I use it mostly with live / Reason.
is via a console cable analogigue input and output (UB802) and a live effect (efx 500), an alesis micron master keyboard and a small evolution (VST).

Dell Inspiron 5150 Intel Mobile P4 3.06 GHz (it gets too hot this thing dailleurs), hd 60 gb Hitachi Travelstar 7200 RPM 8 MB cache, 1 gb of ram, 2 hd external, win xp pro pack 1.

I've never had bugs, and even happy (2 out, 1 in).
the only thing that happened is a decrease in its innopinée on outputs 3 / 4 and this, pls times, but this is now resolved (I went to live 4 to 5 live, go figure .... .!)

update !!??!.......... I got in a 1year and a half, without comment, but hey, for this type of product and saw what I did with it just no interest from the time it works well because sometimes ,............ updates .........!!

Latency: 8 to 12 ms without configuring software, live on by fiddling the buffers, the frequency and turn off which does not serve me at the time we reach 4/6ms without it cracking.

OVERALL OPINION

Most:

cover scrap, feeling tough (and it is, with all the "seals" it has taken, operating in wet (with 2 or 3x in saline), in the sun, apart from the pretty stripes , no you having.

The drivers are talking about
When I bought it has worked fairly well except the volume knob that worked when it wanted but hey if it were only that.
PC A couple months later the card cut like that she would have flashed from time to time.
Well then I went to MAC and never worry while traveling.
Now I buy a Mac with Mac OSX Snow Leopard and the audio works, but more for MIDI (with my machines and electribe mc909) j I search for half a score of days in which to go mad trying several drivers nya is nothing so I went m bought a roland midi interface and now working again perfectly My noon.

In conclusion n NOT buy this card.
Farewell to my M Audio

Id like to see some 1/4 I/O, a phono preamp, and maybe some line in ports. That would have been nice.

Its easy to use but my only issue is that the software always has had bugs in it. the knobs dont always work actually more often then not they dont but u can do what u need to in the control panel with ur mouse.

Ive had a few issues with it in the 2 years Ive had it. Mainly with the knobs and I dont think M Audio plans to fix this.

Good quality. Not the best for the price but it definetly gets the job done. I am happy with this card.

I'm happy with the card it gets the job done and it works with Pro Tools but if I had to do it again I would have bought the firewire 410.
