on an AMD 2800 + barton with hard drives in Raid 0 1 GB ram in Dual DDR, the card connects with a firewire cable

UTILIZATION

- Quick and updated firmware to chain multiple FIREPOD.

- Cubase SX2 I had some problems to enable I / O VST, but it comes from my non-updated version ... Nothing serious because I rsolu the problem quickly.

- The manual is short and trs in English but this card is simple and does not ncessite hours of grip due to the obviousness of connections and rglages.

GETTING STARTED

- Perfect Stabilit of drivers (drivers rcents)

- For use with Cubase LE and Cubase SX2

- Latency is moderately good CEZ 4ms I see 5 in order to mix ... adequate but not exceptional

- You can record 8 mics + a SP / DIF both

- We can not return rgler indpendants each entry requires a mixer downstream of the card, but I do not drang.

- Sometimes I get trs frquement clips and various cracks in cubase or even by listening to music with winamp! I trsdu ... I must just restarting and return sync etc ... I thought we had around 700 to more concern about this kind of sound card!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month and I am relatively satisfied, the Acquisition of 8 it's all good tracks simultaneously and a good rendering, pramplis do their job.
As for mixing and use gnral it means I get enough latency levs (stuff for the studio) between 4 and 7 ms for a little room to mix with many tracks (between 20 and 45) and effects ...
Sometimes I have the crackling of costs including software trs simple sum of Winamp!
I Motu 828 mkII possde one is much better, no comparison, but much more expensive and with the NCESS of possder of pramplis ... or a mixer with ADAT.
