The pedal is very simple, white on blue lettering.
There are 3 knobs: Gain, Level and Tone, nothing but classic. However, for external supply, you must use a power supply with center positive and there this time it is not typical at all! This is due to the Germanium transistors which have the effect of reversing the polarity in the internal circuitry of the effects pedal.
When you open it, it is actually very serious, well wired with quality components.
UTILIZATION
Usage is very simple, plug and play.
SOUND QUALITY
Used in several amps (Marshall JCM 800, Orange Tiny Terror, VHT Pitbull), with several guitars (Fender Stratocaster, Gibson SG, Les Paul Two), with several different jacks, placed in different places in my pedalboard with a new battery, j "I really found the bad sound ...
In clean (special mention of nullity) or a crunch, I did not find my happiness. I was unpleasantly surprised by this pedal harvest so much praise on the internet and that sounds so good on Youtube videos ... Frankly I did not understand ... My copy was defective??
The sound was shrill, no bass, no mids but many highs. And I thought back to the sound Jimi Hendrix with my Strat on the crunch channel of my JCM 800 ... Missed!
OVERALL OPINION
I must admit that I was stunned. But I had focused model among many other "Vintage Fuzz" (Fulltone 69 Catalinbread Merkin, Fulltone 70, Analog Man Sun Face ...) and that is where I prefer to play videos Youtube ... Like what.
How a pedal that you pay € 200 and uses components of such high quality it could produce a sound as bad? I immediately returned to the store that has paid me and did not try to take another "to see." It's a bit like poker, sometimes you need to know before going to bed to "carpet".
Maybe my copy was faulty but honestly I do not care. I prefer to move on now!
