Cakewalk has announced a new promotion where users who purchase or upgrade to SONAR 8 Producer or SONAR 8 Studio will receive the next paid update to SONAR as a free download when released.

Purchase or upgrade to SONAR 8 Producer or SONAR 8 Studio at any participating music & sound retailer worldwide or Cakewalk.com starting July 1st 2009, and receive the next feature-rich update to SONAR as a free download when released later this year.
Cakewalk will also be making the free download available to anyone who has purchased SONAR V-Studio 700, starting from the product’s initial release in January.
The next update to SONAR will also be available on DVD for a nominal fee at the time of release for those customers with slower connection speeds or who prefer physical media.
In addition, US retailers are offering $100 rebates on SONAR 8 and many participating retailers worldwide are offering savings on SONAR 8 starting July 1st.
