This is a very convincing effect Univibe type. As the first test here the features according to the manufacturer website. - True Bypass Switching Relay - Status LED (Red EFFECT ON Blue speed of effect) - Super Compact Aluminum Diecast Case - Dimensions 3 5 / 8 "W x 1 1 / 2" W x 1 1 / 4 "H - 100% analogy Lovepedal like all the pickle vibe is very well finished and of impeccable quality. It's been a while since I was eyeing on a pedal Univibe and spent long evenings on the web and youtube to listen, understand what we could find. My selection criteria was as follows: - The closest possible to the effect of the Leslie cabinet, it has to turn what! - Analog and vintage - Who walks with my Tele and my Vox AC4 - Smaller than an anvil. - True bypass - Simple to use - Not too expensive 150-170 euros, which is already not a budget? we will therefore leave the Dunlop, Fulltone and other models "upscale" in price.

UTILIZATION

Regarding the use can not be simpler, there is one Knob that we turn to give the rotational speed of the effect. The manual is like any pedals Sean Michael, a small sheet with descriptions of the pedal at the bottom of the white box. You can not get any easier on one side and the packaging is not my thing. What you should know is that the size of Pickle Vibe does not have an internal battery so it's pedal board or external power required, it may bother some.

SOUND QUALITY

For this test I used: American Deluxe Tele - Maxon OD808 - Pickle Vibe - VOX AC4 TV. And then I took a big blow because it was exactly the sound I was looking for vintage wish, with grain and Univibe very far. I use most often between 8 and 13h. to rapid rotations I find that the effect loses its interest for me and too close to a vibrato. The effect is good but not what I want. when purchasing I did a test with the Voodoo Lab, I did not like the effect of choking the vodoo it was less specific and did not like his record, this is very personal and I urge you to do these tests. I did the test in the store with the same line of gear, the one I use at home.

OVERALL OPINION

I saw on a forum full of praise Dunlop, Fulltone vibe and voodo. It is true that the Pickle Vibe may seem simple or too simple. But you must know: - That Leslie had only 2 speeds fast and slow. Some musicians playing on the start and stop and the inverted cabin to modulate the effect. - It is better to have a simple and convincing a Swiss army knife that will be using throughout. Faced with the Voodoo Lab and the dunlop Pickle Vibe did not blush quite the contrary. I have not done a comparison test with the Fulltone which anyway was off budget for mths. more than 15 hours on it and no regrets. she will not leave my pedal board so soon. What I like: -Ease of use -The True Bypass The compact- -The coloration of the sound when the effect is ON The LED-rotation which is great practice for this stall What I like least: - The high speeds that are too vintage vibrato, but I am on what it has to please ... - Cheaper? but hey it's handmade, too. - Stereo output, but given the size must not dream. If I had a choice would have to redo the Pickle Vibe no problem because it meets my expectations. For those who do not know Lovepedal I suggest you look production ready because there is really very good effects: TOC 50 / Eternity / Eternity FUSE ... The last echo trouvaile the Gen 5, I dream!
