I use it for a few months for stage use only.
I bought it because it was on sale and I do not have the resources currently to acquire a machine like Muse Research.

The machine fulfills its purpose, namely to use plugs without a computer, well almost without a computer:
Must first create patches on the computer (import and configure plugs) and then export them to the V-Machine (USB).

A condition not to be too greedy (512 MB RAM, 1Ghz processor and 1 GB static disk) you can load a lot of small plugs.
L + R audio outputs, headphone output. Midi In connection + USB to connect the V-Machine to the editor.

The editor allows you to configure up to four instruments by "performance" with 4 + effects setting the mixer.
Note the particularly low level of latency. I sometimes used in a studio where the latency of the PC is greater than that of the V-Machine.

Regarding the PC editor, it is sometimes capricious (it will not load on my PC) and sometimes planted with some plugins (especially at the loading licenses).

The processor flirts easily with its limitations (it goes fast with 1Ghz), I repeat, do not be too greedy. SM-Audio announced at a time, one can upgrade to a more powerful processor, but it has never been done to my knowledge. The only upgrade possible is the replacement of the memory (512MB to 1GB Dimm), what I did, but it does not improve transcendental performance of the machine.

I use it on stage with plugs as Messiah, Korg Legacy (MS20, Polysix and Mono / Poly, forget the M1 and Wavestation) and Miles Tone and a soundfont player (SFZ).

In summary, considering the price (200 €) and the possibility to use a few plugs on stage with my EWI, I'm fine. on the other hand, if I had to buy its output (600 €) I think he would have stayed in the shop.

Finally, the user forum SM-Audio (it should be up) is quite active and there is a lot of useful info on the machine, such as plugs that run well, tweaks and tips, etc ...
