What characteristics have motivated your choice?
I was looking for a sound card in PCI (once inserted into the PC you think about it more, no USB or FW connections ...) with some input / output, but mostly for monitoring outputs. The configuration of this card is exactly what I wanted.
For what purpose?
Home studio (some movies from time to time, but this is incidental).
What instruments or systems you use it? ...
Used with Samplitude Pro Suite X in a PC on steroids (I use a lot of vsti, some very heavy with lots of audio processing to the mix).
What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / RAM / Disk, ...)?
CM: ASUS V-P8Z77
CPU: Intel I7 3770 (3.40 Ghz)
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance
SYS HDD: WD 500 GB
DD DATAS: 1 TB WD
UTILIZATION
The drivers are stable?
No problems with the drivers. I downloaded those present on the M-Audio website, because those supplied with the card are ageless! I'm running 64-bit Seven.
How often are updated?
I do not know ....
What software do you use most often?
Samplitude Pro X Suite with many vsti + Audition 3
What you get lag?
About 1 ms
How many tracks do you manage to record / play simultaneously?
I do not do multi-track recording in real time, so ...
GETTING STARTED
The installation is done it without problem?
Too easy! I had already installed the drivers prior to receiving the card (see above). I simply inserted the card into the PCI slot and that's all folks! No installation on Seven, it's pure plug and play, unlike xp or vista.
Have you encountered any incompatibilities?
No. Samplitude immediately took charge, as Kontakt and Hearing.
The general configuration is easy?
Few not be simpler. A simple panel for level I / O, monitoring and hardware (sample rate ...)
The manual is clear and sufficient?
Not read. Unnecessary.
OVERALL OPINION
How long you use it?
About two days and this is happiness.
What is so special that you love the most, least?
The +
