Installation is no problem, I'd rather create my own "library" rent banks and put them on a second hard drive.
Setup is easy, just install the program. If you have an older version (soft), you will be guided to the site to download NI updates.
There are no incompatibilities, most programs or operating in 64-bit and Windows 7 are highly recommended.
Maschine is comprised of (hardware) MIDI Controller "which can be used alone as a sophisticated MIDI controller, and control any software.
Second part is the (software) "software", sequencer, etc ... accessible via PC and Maschine controller. Most if not all, can be controlled by the Maschine (hardware)
The fact that there is no CPU in hardware, ca perhaps his weakness that depends on your PC / Mac.
If you have an old computer, do not even try to use the Maschine.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I have long been on the XP-SP3, but soon I will bit Windows 7.64

I have AMD Athlon X3 445 overclocked to 3.1MGh 3.3MGh on Asus M4A77D, 4 GB memory, three hard drives and 1x250GB x500GB 2. Sound card NI-AK-1.

Everything is stable ...

OVERALL OPINION

Use two months and still learning, it is a very deep instrument.
I love Xtension called "transistor punch".
I have had many sequences and drum machines before and what Maschine is my favorite.

Quality seems very good, time will tell.
I would buy again I do not regret ...
Native Instruments is a good company that takes care of its customers.
Maschine is very good with Reaktor is the majority of VST.

The price is a bit high, given that you buy software and a MIDI controller to control it.
Yet the software is constantly updated NI.
