No problem with the installation ... on the other hand, it's a bit long (the CD version are not updated and must re-download everything for Maschine and Komplete elements)

No problem either configuration in stand-alone or in Live.

The PDF manual is very good, it can happen to me to go and seek information, it is well referenced.

No inconsistency to deplore it works with my Macbook Pro / Tascam US-200. the USB keyboard is recognized by Maschine (to play percussion instruments out, it is sometimes easier than the pads).

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

As mentioned above, everything works nickel on the Macbook (Unibody 2008/4G end of RAM) If we multiply the VST effects and more Maschine in Live, still it ends with "click" a little, but there is room ... The load is mostly between 15 and 35%. No crash to deplore (a freeze once, but it was my fault, after an update, I had not taken the time to restart the computer)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week and I can say that Maschine is great! The drum sounds and loops are very good quality, the other instruments in Maschine are varied and the addition of Komplete Elements adds still lots of possibilities.

The adequacy hardware / software works great and the whole greatly improves the speed of composition. in 6 hours the first day, I made three pieces! (Short pieces, of course, but impressive nonetheless)

When we know a little Live, the arrangement of patterns in scenes is pretty easy to pick up
The pads are a nice touch and velocity is adjustable.
The screens are clear and the interface as we understand how it works, which may require some time (there are many tutorials on the site in English which are useful NI)
The three ways to program loops are very effective and complementary (manually adding parts / notes repeat / the step sequencer) We will very quickly with the results really bluffing.

This is my first beatbox, but I had a Korg NANOPAD, no (I have an opinion on this)

For now, I keep my CPA, but can also control Maschine Live (there is a template)
