I fill this gap I even made me default: an opinion on this fine product, the Alesis Photon X25
- What technical specifications motivated your choice?
I wanted something compact, reliable, used in mobile station with a powerful enough laptop (ASUS A6K, 1 GB RAM, Turion 64 bit). Reduces had a budget, then exit the Firewire. His "face" me well with the flat pitch bend, which gradually s'clairent red, like the Ion.
- What connector (MIDI pedals ...)?...

I do not know why, I exclude from the outset the X25 and my laptop, and I shall decide to beat a dead horse on the OS.
I was right ... as the laptop came with WinXP SP2 + (aa its importance ...), I'll blow it all, a WinXP + SP1 installs, removes unnecessary stuff installed by default ( The chipset integrates the Ethernet card, the CONTRL temprature of the Coffee Maker intgre, the fryer ...), assuming that my laptop would never see the Internet.
And it is anxious that I reinstall my apps and my keyboard. And a joy unspeakable ... works! And even though plutt: 8 ms assumes the CPU does not move, Cubase has made a new friend, a quick bath. CONTRL AXYZ and the X25 promises chorgraphies scne worthy of mime Marceau ...

About 10 days, with diffrent installs, until that it works ... but nothing to do with the keyboard.
What is the particular feature you like best and least?
+: The mouth, the look of the beefy components, AXYZ, sound, the latency, the many knobs.
-: No CONTRL latency, the usual paramtres a PC, nothing ... it's pretty dstabilisant.
- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
Many do not. But Tascam US1222, Ozonic are passs home. With the same problem. By dduction I complained directly sp2. (For some reason, for cons ...)
- How do you report qualitprix?
So I do not know the how they did it Trs good value quality / price

Yes, I think, the default Firewire, more expensive, but this solution is a USB trs cool
