«  Finally, the Low EMG Ibanez! »

If I'm not mistaken, this is a Thai manufacturing.
BTB typical form, handle 35 inches across. 22 frets on the strings of B, E and A, 24 of the Re and Sol.
Novelty: two EMG 40DC, Barts ca change of MK2.
Volume, blend, 3 band EQ with parametric medium.

more info on the Ibanez site.

UTILIZATION

Ibanez neck, so late ... but given the wide string spacing, and number: 19mm gap for 5-string, that gap is the same for most 4-string ... but of 5 strings. this is the highway around the handle, and the balance is good.
Good access to the acute form thanks to the BTB reworked, and without gene heel thanks to neck-through.

The sound is typical of EMG, while remaining fairly neutral. All knobs are doing their job.

SOUNDS

In my opinion, is no more versatile than BTB. The EMG does not go anywhere in the same way, but nothing that an amp or EQ the bass can not manage.

Can accommodate lamps amp amp transistors and effortlessly. the consideration of this versatility, it is unfortunately a lack of personality: good at all, nothing but perfect.

In all cases the low B is clean, and even on the grave (thanks to a Hipshot Detuner, and 35 inches of pitch).

OVERALL OPINION

I was looking for was basically a 5-string in order to recover a G string, compared to my BTB470 granted in Si in 35 inches for easy (I have rackets for hands), with EMG pickups and if possible .

Ibanez heard me, and fills me in this desire.

This is an excellent bass has many levels, but sorely lacking in personality, despite its unique shape.

In any case, it will fully satisfy the versatile bassist (AC hum well with fingers but claps as well as slap or a tab).
