Sonokinetic introduces a new sound library for Kontakt designed from a Qanûn, a middle east plucked instrument.
The Qanûn belongs to the zither family and features a frame on which 81 strings are installed. The instrument that has been multisampled by Sonokinetic is from Turkey and was recorded in Istanbul.
The library for Kontakt includes about 15 000 samples with multiple velocity layers and round robins, as well as three playing styles: multisampling, songs and improvisations.
Sonokinetic recorded up to 10 seconds of sustain and added one impulse response.
The samples are in 24-bit / 44.1kHz NCW format. They are tempo-synced and an Intelligent Time Machine is included if you want to half or double the tempo for the sync.
Qanûn is available for 60.38€ incl. VAT at www.sonokinetic.net.
