I like the least? the absence of motorized faders! is all that is lacking in APC!
I use an evolution uc16 for some parameters that I want on hand at all times but apart from that, everything goes through the apc (except the keyboard of course). I have connected a switch to guitar amp footswitch on taking to control the looper when I scratch or any other idea or no hand available.
Some compare the Launchpad Novation to the series of APC, but personally I think, apart from the side "Ableton touch", that machines are not comparable. my choice headed over to the APC as the launchpad because I had the pads and I like the feel of the faders.
I would do if I had the choice to do it again because it's exactly what I needed in my set. if I were to Akai engineers in charge of this project, I would not have imagined otherwise. I just put the motorized fader ..

I Live redcouvre my sets and my projects.
But keep the sprit that a Controller to the east "Live" and not too much for Fast Fashion (though I use it to also ...) then combined with a Keyboard Controller matre good style or Remote MPK sl 25/37: the good you have a full combo.

APC40 I ​​use for a month and it's really the killer!

I tried UC33e with a friend, it's a very good control surface but I did not want to have mouse hand all the time and the CPA met my requirements! We control everything from CPA and that's terrible!

What I like most is that we have the management of all settings at your fingertips Live, Live the screen session is carried over to the pads 40 which gives an extraordinary clarity! The potrads faders and meet like clockwork!

The value for money is more than adequate in view of the capabilities of the machine!

I would definitely do it again this choice and attach a APC20 or probably a launchpad to further expand my playground! )

I wanted a 100% compatible with Live 8, my choice was directly
40 on the APC, no other model tested.

Nothing to say only negative about this product, stable, efficient.

The only remark, too bad that the sliders are not automated, now, the price would be different, but still, it's a shame.

In fact, since the purchase, I use more PROTOOLS 9 that Live, so my opinion is not very detailed, sorry.

But the use I had with the APC 40, I'm very happy.

The only point where I object is that the matrix Clip Launch only five scenes (horizontal lines on Live), while others, such as Launchpad Novation offers an array of eight scenes, too bad.
Ultimately, a good build quality as Akai knows how, a product with a good quality / price ratio.

The grip is immediate, it's plug and play, no configuration problem, it reacts really well! It really is a "natural extension" of Ableton Live.
