Env.2m-cable, but much too rigid (ds time to be careful efforts on the connectors)
purchase price: approx. 410 euros
My choice:
I compltement new to computer music, that's three months as jai consider this purchase, I wanted to go to the DTD without leaving my pay!
I saw no other card with all these possibilitsrunies for this award
the good news of this card has convinced me.
I make the battery, I need at least 8 tracks with 6.3 jack connectors
the two are INTERESTED pramp (no need for an upstream gear taken Stereo)

I am running XP-Pro with an AMD 1800 + overclock (1.6go), 512 MB (333), 60GB IDE HDD Maxtor trs 7200, radeon video ATI7000, kt4v MSI motherboard (VIA chipset), an internal modem, 97 disables its ac `ds the bios, the ADDA IRQ9 ddi, no conflicts ... (I had to disable a USB port in xp mulait IRQ9! arghhhhh! .. .)
I still have 4 others including 2 USB 2.0, is a ...
I carefully followed the advice of Audiofanzine the config, I d qd even re-install XP as standard, and have strength in the bios IRQ9 port pci N3, others are in the car. important irq from the bios are those "rels" unlike xp which recasts APIC mode as he wants ...
APRS everything I read or Tlcharger, j'apprhendais stability with my VIA chipset motherboard, but too late, I had bought before, without whether for audio gear I would be compatible ...()
the driver of the card I took it on the CD provided and date of April 2003 !!!...
So I could quickly test the operation using the one from a microphone in 5 minutes!

the internal mixer can be simpler, the patchbay is a bit fuzzy at beginners
config driver ASIO2.0: internal clock, does not lock the sample rate, the rest is used via the software.

provided that: Logic Pro audio for me is "can" even I would not waste space on the disk to a! (IMMEDIATE uninstalled!)
some plugins as freeware / shareware and testing plugins (WAVES. ..)
the problem is the plugins gogogadget aspect of most of them!
I use Samplitude plutt the config is fast, it's a drivers ASIO2.0 soft!
GETTING STARTED
My first attempts:
analog mixing desk for the toms pramplis microphones and inserts all live out, over the heads directly on the rack XLR (1 +2), + g.caisse c.claire go through a pramp ULTRAGAIN + call a pro (4 from 3.) lgre compression / gate decision.
8 drum tracks with both 32-bit 48khz + Floating at earlier pieces I import a project without track cd battery (which plays in making playback) and:
NO PROBLEM, Impec ...
it works!
I 5ms latency (on this test!)
Read (APRS have recorded four more tracks percu so 12 in total) I have no cracking or bug ...
ct effects I have used almost the effects samplitude cad (APRS taken):
- A reverb in aux1 used by all tracks.
- Compressor on GC / CC
- A plug on the DC (Spatializer)
- Gates / expanders on 4 toms to finish cleaning!
- Master filters
- Enhancer in master
- Equalizers on all tracks + master
everything myself MNE use about 20% cpu and 5% of SD
2nd TEST:
an identical config test
- Taking into 32bit 96khz 5ms latency: 240 errors DTECT by the soft decision! go!
- Same but with 10ms: 40 errors: better!
Ditto, but with 13ms: 0 errors: phew!
I jou also on the size and number of buffers in the soft more importance!
On this test read plugins I have 4 + the effects of the first test a VST track: I am 60% CPU utilization and 30% of SD.
reading must also tweak the buffers, they hurt paramtrs cause cracking.
Note that I did not plant the PC, made about 10, has come when I would push the srement rglages!
For now ok EST
OVERALL OPINION
In DTD, apparently cest difficult dobtenir of stability with my trials and without refined rglages my max, I am confident but surprised both seen everything that is said in the forums, namely : crashes, the crappy VIA chipsets, the AMD not top the craquementsce that is not said in these discussions cest the fawn which is configure the machine to the smallest dtails, which unfortunately can make the difference!
Hoontech focused product that is still a cardboard vritable 2 years APRS its release! it is far from the trs trs dja magnto 4 tracks! if you compare the price dun magntoK7 Tascam or other, we laugh!
- Little less: I note, however background noise that comes srement the rack, move the mouse when I hear small parasites (headphone volume donf !...) seem that you need a external power supply (d advised by st-audio yet ... see if The symptoms persist)
Ms. recoilless I advise those who hsitent this card, it allows all the same to eight tracks (two num) without breaking the bank, what model and why not much more ?!!...
