RTW announced the release of its first plug-in for Mac and PC, a loudness meter in the brand new Mastering PlugIns Series.
The RTW Loudness Tools is designed for use in professional music, broadcast and post-production studios. It’s the software version of the RTW Loudness meter unit and its currently available as a VST on Windows and RTAS on Mac OS X (with more formats to come).
Loudness Tools allows for monitoring the loudness of up to 8 channels and supports sampling rates up to 96kHz.
The plug-in offers PPM, True Peak and Loudness analysis, with a compliance with EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770–3/1771–1, ATSC A/85, ARIB, OP-59, AGCOM and CALMAct.
You can choose between 6 display formats in both portrait and landscape and it will be possible to use multiple instances and save the setups as presets in your DAW.
The RTW Loudness has an EU price of 407€ excl. taxes, it requires an iLok USB dongle. You can test the plug-in for free during 14 days. See www.rtw.de for more info.
