Soundizers, a new audio software developer, introduces StereoMonoizer, a standalone stereo file manager app for Mac OS X.
The StereoMonoizer will be useful to manage the different audio files you import to you DAW. The software, which is currently available on Mac OS X only, determines wether the audio files you use are true stereo, dual-mono or true mono, so you know what type of track you need to create to import them and will save hard drive space and CPU ressources.
The software allows for batch processing. You can listen to the file and visualize its waveform with a color code for the different types of sources (mono sounds in grey, stereo in blue).
Last, an algorithm and a replacement feature allow for manipulating the files if you want to split a stereo file into two mono ones.
The StereoMonoizer is a standalone software. It is available for the introductory price of $79, regular price is $149. You can also download a trial version from www.soundizers.com. Soundizers adds that a Windows version will soon be available.
