«  "THE" reverb! »

Published on 04/07/12 at 09:58
"THE" big Lexicon, with 4 units high, with his big fan and its 9 internal cards, it's a big beast, the most successful product in terms of reverberation in the early 80's, there are lobby the room (opposite room) of flat, kind of effects (delay, chorus) Programs and split containing two independent engines reverberations
2 in 4 out XLR and XLR, link LARC, noon, no external RAM and ROM, it takes the 480L

UTILIZATION

very simple interface with remote control "LARC" principle that keeps its lexicon largest modèls thereafter 480L and 960L.
the machine responds to finger in the eye and ear! with 4 pages of parameters, it is very complete, between different reverb time (Low, Mid and time threshold for the acute, the filter cut hi very sweet (more on that quantec or Bricasti) pre delay, dissemination, the attack, the chorusing, depth, size of rooms, the first reflections etc etc. ....
all these parameters respond directly to an action on the LARC and without noise calculation, (very hard to time)

SOUND QUALITY

"SOUND", basically when you buy a reverb, that's what its there that we would have! This reverb is the one that motivated Bricasti today to highlight a workhorse in the optical color of sound, ie as opposed to products like the TC6000 for example. Halls are arguably the best to deal with strings, piano, guitar solo, brass or female voice, the sound is warm with pleasant modulation is complex, the rooms will work wonders on the flat drum and drum are in top and male voice.

OVERALL OPINION

A machine timeless, big, heavy, with a big fan, but now its only good défaults, reliable, with a very quiet audio converters, musical architecture, looping incredibly clean, even on reverbs tens of seconds.
It reacts well and mix very easily on any type of music, that is his greatest quality, no need to equalize, it's beautiful, it's hot and it's still accurate, not runny, just rich.
incredible to have released such a machine at a time when computers came down almost to the ATARI!!
to listen, to adopt, well, it is expensive, but in good condition, it is a machine that does not décoteras (unlike a plug!)
