- for me, 2 by 12 amps are the perfect size
- includes a nice footswitch
- clean channel sounds great (you can crank the gain to 10 and use the master volume to controll volume level for a wonderfull warm sound). with the gain at 10 the clean channel becomes very slightly distorted,and SWEET SOUNDING.
- using the DFX Chorous effect over the clean channel sounds just the way I wanted it to. As nice as a dedicated pedal.
- is as loud as I would ever need
- closed back
- the amp sounds big, not just loud. loads of low end response
The digital reverb is not great. I use a little, knob set to 2, any more and you will sound muddy, and your tone seems to get lost. at 2 it is nice, if you need or want more you are out of luck.
-CHANNEL TWO is this amps weakest point!! and that is what most people are interested in when buying an amp. Channel 1 is dead silent, Channel 2 more gain = significantly more noise.
- I have had this amp for 2 months and can't find a gain and EQ setting that I love. I have found some that I like.
- If you want modern high gain, Nu metal sound you will need a pedal, and maybe a noise gate as well.
I run my pedal + effects processor set up through channel 1 and get exactly the tones I want
- the amps fans are loud, so loud you can hear them over your guitar if you are practicing by yourself
construction/ quality - looks and feels like it will last a long time. no issues
This review came off a little negative, that was not the intention. I plan to use this amp for ten years before I get another one. Just writing this review has me wanting to practice again right now. The amp sound exactly like I had wanted but I use 2 distortion pedals to find those tones. so the cost of a pedal should be factored in to the cost of the amp.
