It is a 100% head transistors, not the least light preamp or amplifier.
For spec see other opinions on this comprehensive ...

UTILIZATION

The settings are very classic, nothing complicated ... Now find a good sound is extremely difficult in that this amp does not ring anything to do, I never managed to get good sound when I found myself with the head in the studio.

SOUNDS

Arriving in a studio again, my biggest fear is a Marshall MG, these cold monsters that have the name of Marshall ... Whenever he happened to play on this amp, I left half depressed because I had not managed to get THE sound. Even on a good HP 4x12 JCM, the sound is flat ... The distortions are terrible, we seek sound and it only happens to attract all the neighborhood cats (the mewing of the amp though strident must please them! Hehe).

In addition, the amplifier accepts pedals very little external, including overdrive or distortion ... The sound is not clear, rough, flat and cold.

2 / 10 for clean sounds, very "transistors" that can pass, but in some styles.

OVERALL OPINION

I'm surprised to see such positive feedback on notes & this amp ... One of two things: either I have tried wrong (though I often find myself having to play on repeat in the studio when there is no more than that ... ahem), or those who wrote those opinions n have never played on a real full amp tubes. A JCM sounds far better ...

My overall opinion is very, very mixed: this amp does not ring. He might look great, with its logo Marshall, clean sounds are cold, loud distortion at will, no heat, a large hole in the mids ...

A leak of urgency for those looking for a good amp stage. May agree to limit to a few lines at home ...
