Mic preamp 12AX7, one per channel, balanced XLR input, XLR output sym + Jack TS therefore unbalanced (-10dBu) of course, all this in number 4 and on the back.
Low cut, 48v, phase reverse per channel.
UTILIZATION
Nothing fancy, no need for manual, one branch is looking for one loves you like it, it takes something else ...
On version 1 lacks a pad, which can really be of service in case it takes the microphone used the full-guh .. and it is still not provided because in this case the room for maneuver before driver is almost nonexistent, of course all this if taken with high sound pressure.
After that, it's true knob they crack and not a little then it goes into the studio but live a lil after gain adjustment during the approximate balance if you want to turn these small rotary at your own risk and peril, I I wanted to test live but I knew what to expect, the person who sold it to me warned me, only problem after passage bomb touch the problem is still there and I have not decided yet replace ...
SOUND QUALITY
Clean, warm, with a slight grain drive see the slobbering all distorted ... all tastes are in nature as they say, so I find these well-typed preamp with small weakness of character for me the low end a bit soft but nothing too bad Rme example the preamp so it better to level but after that the lamp while it is dynamically hot, and with a full range of sounds available very interesting, with a simple micro-slightly trying to hear all the potential to make a simple little amp, it only my opinion but a neutral preamp not typed as I seem to see it written everywhere as a criterion of prestige makes me really wonder about the grain of neutral and untyped preamp Neve, SSL or other must stop because it's still references and is recognizable for miles so if it is not neutral and super j'comprend typed anything.
Brief me it differ from one another and therefore it should not necessarily for certain uses.
OVERALL OPINION
I use for about a year, the lamps are General Elec, replacing the former owner.
I tried another model for me as long as a preamp does not lead me to excessive noise and headroom is resonable as far as I can only find an interest or utility to this one.
What I appreciate most is his personality.
The fewer the knobs that crackles and the absence of Pad.
50 € preamp hand I think it's unbeatable, the former owner me that it has sold and bought the V2 to the pad, I find interesting value for money has not bought it on closed eyes .
If this was an opportunity I will ever be this choice because as stated in the title is a good alternative. A quality alternative
