Evolution Electric Guitar is designed to enable keyboardists to create "authentic sounding" electric guitar parts without hand editing of MIDI.
According to Orange Tree, it uses sampling of various articulations combined with physical modeling principles “in order to achieve a degree of realism not possible with other sample libraries.”
The company says that Evolution Electric Guitar leverages the user’s existing keyboard skills, translating these techniques for the guitar much like a language translator works. For example, chord inversions are analyzed and the appropriate guitar chord voicing determined.
