Ipad and Mac-equipped musicians can now use the Votan Platform to create music and share it between their gear.

Votan is a new digital platform that uses the Cloud to store and share sounds created on the virtual instruments of the brand between their iPad and Mac-based DAW. The instruments (just one at the moment) are independent, so that musicians who don’t own a DAW or an iPad but wish to use these instruments can do it without any problem. Note that the GUI of the instruments is exactly the same on the iPad and Mac and 64-bit is supported.

The platform is completed with a Votan Control feature that allows for instant control of the apps and virtual instruments, real time algorithms change and patch load from the Cloud.

Both elements of the platform are built-in each product that VotanDSP will release.

The first creation of the brand is Telepathy Synthesis, a subtractive synth that features 4 oscillators, 4 multimode filters that use VA, algorithms and formant filters, 4 envelopes with their own trigger, 4 LFOs that can be triggered separately, with standard waveforms and morphing-compatible wavetables, 4 effect sections with chorus, delay, destroy, frequency shifter, glitch and EQ. You’ll also find a modulation matrix, 4 XY pads and you can automate all the parameters.

The AudioUnit version of Telephathy for Mac OS X is available for purchase for £29.99 and the iPad app is £5.99. Full details of this new platform are available at www.votandsp.com.
