«  Excellent! »

It's a Takamine Japan (hand made I believe).
It has a handle folk (that's what attracted me mostly), but with nylon strings. The tube preamp is colorful enough for my taste but that is exactly what I wanted. It also includes a tuner.

It competes well with guitars making several times its price.

UTILIZATION

The playability is amazing. The handle is accurate, it forgives a lot smaller approximations, even if one does obviously a clear sound that is very rigorous. It is quite small, not too heavy, so that you can play standing for several hours with the guitar strap not too tired.

I use it primarily for the stage, not so much for the home.

I transplanted directly into a mixer or via a direct box, or via a wireless transmitter. The sound is very precise and already quite colorful without needing to use an amp.

SOUNDS

The sound is exactly what I wanted. I use it for a little over 3 years, and you can clearly hear the sounds evolve into more heat. In fact, it almost seems to play with folk, but with the roundness of nylon. It is rather odd.
It is situated exactly in a sort of compromise between the brilliance of steel strings and the warmth of nylons. So, we can worship as we may hate it.
Whether amplified or not, it renders very well the entire frequency range (what was for me an absolute pre-requisite) with very low current and mediums hot.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a little over 3 years, mainly for the stage.

I have tried many models, including Taylor (twice as expensive) that are probably above in terms of quality, but before that the Takamine has really nothing to be ashamed.

I love its shape and color of wood, matte varnish, it really sends a sense of quality. I really like how the sound has to evolve over time. The main drawback to my taste is that it does not cover plate on the table, so that mine is full of scratches (Loved pick, nails). But it can be remedied by asking a luthier by (what I did).

The quality / price is very interesting. It was a guitar very (very) good quality for a price that is measured after all.

I definitely would do this election if I had the chance. To be very honest I think even buy the same model with steel strings.
