    Boss ME-50BPublished on 03/10/10 at 09:09

Everything has been described. I just add a few remarks:

    - 24 presets ONLY! I'm just saying, because used with 2 low, it is only 12 presets low. And 8 for 3 bass (fretless bass, 5 string, 4 string ... it is faster to 3). Knowing that the settings will not be the same as we play with headphones or amp, it still divides the whole by 2.
    - Lack a small display for the names of effect rather than the No. ... it is twenty degrees!
    - AUX mini-jack stereo ... odd choice. 2 RCA would have seemed more standard.
    - Part master not removable. Big mistake.
    + Strength
    + + PRICE

    UTILIZATION

    the -:
    - The wah wah works only down, not up ... wah damage. Even sad. Finally my personal, that's why I'm going to separate.
    - The distos sound too digital for my taste (COSM = bof bof)
    - Hold the sound does not polyphonic: big fail. In addition, its "hold" is a volume lower than actually came.
    - The defretter is rotten

    the +:
+ Limit and the sustainer (D-COMP)
    + Enhancer
    + The auto wah
+ Synths associated with the expression pedal mode resonance. Very funny.
+ HI BAND DRIVE. Well done!
    + The delays, excellent.

    SOUND QUALITY

It does not bother ... I think I finally came back from COSM ... OS.

    OVERALL OPINION

Used for 2 months. I like its versatility and potential fun, a nice toy.
Multi-purpose cheap, I prefer the Zoom and Digitech other, but it is unconvincing on a more serious (stage / studio).

Nice to work / play at home. My choice goes to the future multi effects Rocktron, and if it goes wrong, I will type in the single-effect accounting for TEC21 ampsim-drive electro-harmonix for synthesis and for Morley wah. This will obviously be much more expensive.

    very good pedal ...
I use both for the bass to the guitar
    love!
damage only to the expression pedal wah mode is not more customizable ...
say that the expression pedal should have a bit more adjustment possible
I love passing mode stomp box that can beat rhythm style bass drum ...

    UTILIZATION

as simple as pedal and in fact we are far from taking effect multi head ...
    you plug you play ...
after you watch it all ... how amméliorer
    but hey it's a detail -)))

    SOUND QUALITY

they are all very good ...
except sytnhé bass that are really crappy ...
poop in zero and one wonders how they could be replaced for aurra the product is at the top

    Boss ME-50BPublished on 02/26/09 at 11:22
The Boss ME-50B is a multi effects guitar pedal that has just about everything guitar effect you can think of. It has 1/4 inch inputs and outputs and is powered by the power supply that comes with it. It is not a rackable unit as it is a floor guitar processor.

The general configuration of the MD-50B is pretty easy to follow, even though there are a ton of different parameters that control all sorts of effects. If you are familiar with the type of effects that are in this unit, you shouldn't have a problem figuring out what everything does. UTILIZATION

The general configuration of the MD-50B is pretty easy to follow, even though there are a ton of different parameters that control all sorts of effects. If you are familiar with the type of effects that are in this unit, you shouldn't have a problem figuring out what everything does. You can make your own presets and the expression pedal comes in handy for using the wah and filter effects, as well as for using the whammy setting. The manual is complete and is definitely helpful when learning this unit.

    SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the effects varies across the unit, as there are a huge array of different effects. The pedal is split into a few different sections - one for compression that has the basic parameters for a compressor as well as a knob for choosing different types of compression. It then has a filter section with a huge variety of different filter effects and then has a drive and synth section with different distortions, overdrives and synth sounds. To me it seems a bit strange to put these two effects within the same section, but it works out okay. The next section is a modulation and delay section with all a reverbs, a few delays, a chorus, flanger, and a phaser, among other things. The expression pedal can be to control a few different things as well as a great tool for this pedal. While all of the sounds are pretty usable, none will blow you out of the water or sound as good as individual stomp boxes would. This being said, it is great to have all of these effects in one spot and great for learning what kinds of sounds you are after.

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Boss ME-50B for about four years. While I don't use it all that much because I have individual pedals that have most of the effects on this, it is useful when I need all of these effects in one place that I can carry around and use easily. The price is really cheap considering all of the effects you are getting, and Boss has a good reputation when it comes to guitar pedals. If you are looking for a multi effects guitar pedal, this is absolutely worth a look.
