Mounted on a JB Squier Classic Vibes, I just give my opinion after 4 months of use in rehearsals and concerts.
Compared to the original Squier pickups (which are already very good) the particularity of Crel is both in depth and definition.

The bass is deeper, less cavernous. Mediums emerge beautifully and especially the treble is not at all showy.
The bridge pickup is particularly clear in the mix, it has a terrible momentum. Easel bottom and 3/4 sleeve is the perfect combination for rock with JB42.
The neck pickup is less demonstrative but he fills his role perfectly well.
The other feature is the sound quality when you lower the volume level with the two mics half was exactly the same sonic palette that background but just two times weaker. It is not at all the case for some microphones are muted in this case.
Finally I now use much more the tone that makes the origins without this side much better than stifled.
Slap is a treat, the equilibrium is really stunning. Besides from JB42 I sold my compressor (EBS multicomp) that I used before permanently and is it any more useful so the dynamics of JB42 encourages play with shades. It touches or is Bourine: the sound is always clear. Acute sing but do not attack.

In fact I think they are relatively transparent and well they transcribe the sound of the violin without excessive color like most pickups replacement.

Before Crel I had DiMarzio (DP123) on a maple neck with JB and once mounted on the classic vibes with rosewood DiMarzio were not at all suitable: too low mids, treble completely absent .. .

Noise level with two microphones background is totally silent. When you drop one of the volumes, however, compared to humbuckers as DP123 evidemmment there are more parasites (when approaching a screen or amplifier), but since I shielded copper the cavities of the JB I have almost no noise.

I did not choose the JB41 because I thought they would have sounded too "light" compared to her that I love and I bine is because JB42 are perfect when you need a deep sound.

In short, for 120 euros the pair new I do not see why deprive yourself trying.
I would do this choice without worry.
