Allen & Heath introduces at InfoComm 2013 the GLD-80 big brother, the GLD-112 modular digital mixer which supports up to 44 mic inputs.

The GLD-112 digital mixer retains the GLD-80 configuration, with and additional 8 fader strip bank for a total of 28 faders available on 4 layers in standard configuration. Expansion modules are also available for up to 48 inputs (44 mic preamps).

The GLD-112 offers 48 input process channels, 8 stereo effect returns with the iLive effect emulations, 30 configurable busses, 20 output mix channels and a DSP engine. Each input has its own trim, phase, HPF, insert, gate, 4-band parametric EQ, compressor and delay controls. Insert, 4-band parametric EQ, graphic EQ, compressor and delay are also present on all the outputs.

A 8.4" touch screen is included with drag and drop support for easy channel assignation to the faders. A motorized fader is available for each layer, along with an LCD screen with configurable color-code and name. Direct gain, pan, aux/effect sends are also available.

GLD-112 connection panel includes 4 XLR mic/line inputs, 4 XLR line outputs, 4 RCA inputs and 2 RCA outputs as well as S/PDIF and AES3 digital outputs. MIDI in and out, as well as Ethernet and USB (storage) ports are also present.

The additional I/O racks connect to the GLD-112 via CAT5 cables and the Allen & Heath dSNAKE protocol. The system is also compatible with Allen & Heath ME personal monitoring system.

Pricing announced by Allen & Heath is £4899 excl. VAT. Full details are available at www.allen-heath.com.
