« Johnson Jazz Bass »

I bought this bass guitar at Magnolia Music for $150 as my first bass.

This bass is built to last. I've had it for one and half years and the two jazz pick-ups still sound pretty good. The body is tough and the rosewood fretboard sounds nice. The black finish has held up pretty good also. And the tuners stay in tune pretty good.

There's not too much that I don't like about this bass, nothing wrong with the sound. But the day after I bought it the strap holder by the bridge came loose, and that got on my nerves. The strings that came with it held up and sounded ok, but the were really loose when in tune so I would recommend replacing the strings. Also I recommend getting the neck straightened about every 6 months to a year. Other than that it's an awesome bass.

Like I said, this bass is built like a tank! I've dropped it, it's fallen out of a chair and hit cement, and I've bumped it so many times but it still sounds great. The tuners stay in tune, the pick-ups still sound good, and the neck and body are still looking good.

This is a great bass for a beginner! And it's a steal for the price. I highly recommend getting it. I can't remember the exact model name, but it's shaped like a Fender Jazz bass, has two jazz bass pick-ups, and cost around $150.
