UTILIZATION

The neck is thin, fairly low light and the whole is very enjoyable to play.
The bass is very well balanced and not leaning forward, the grip is immediate.
Access to acute is easy although it is not where we are going more often.
The sound palette is very broad and active electronics, you can sculpt the sound in detail.

SOUNDS

The well-rounded and warm the greasy stoner funk, this bass is incredibly easy and the sound is always waiting for you.
Used on a Fender tube amp or a POD Pro Bass live in PA, it does every time.
Again, this bass is ultra versatile and I do not know her limits or styles in which it would not be comfortable.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 7 years, it is a pure joy each time the plug.
Sometimes I use my old Aria bass when I want to sound a bit filthy punk / Garage genre, but it became my main bass.
I like the look, especially the head, its color and its ergonomics and of course the sound!
I'll do him one complaint: the absence of an active / passive switch which prohibits not have a 9V battery feed on pain of being deprived of sound when battery.
Another detail, the original strings are coated awful as a sort of varnish and pilling in tatters each use; replace the outset.
I would definitely do it again the same choice today anyway because this instrument is very nice and offers a beautiful finish in this price range.

Played guitar professionally 20+ years ago. Currently a bass player in a local mid life crises blues/rock band.

I have a 78 Fender Strat and an Ovation but when my neighbors and I got together and jammed we needed a bassman. So, I volunteered. I needed a bass but didn't want to spend goo gobs of cash, so I checked out the Schecter Omen 4 on Musiciansfriend.com. for $349.00

It plays like a much more expensive bass. As a converted bassman I know about setting up an ax and how I want it to feel. The action was nice, no buzzing, great intonation and sustain. Active electronics are more than adequate, especially at this price.

The body is a little chunky. And the d & G strings can be a little too bright in comparison to the E & A strings. But proper EQ can overcome that.

The overall quality is awesome for such an inexpensive unit. This Omen 4 was made in S. Korea. Again as a converted bassman this was a fantastic bass to learn the craft on.

Bottom line is I owned the omen 4 for a year and a half and I still love to play it. But I'm ready to move on. Only because my chops have gotten much better on bass. I will keep this bass forever. I am happy to have learned on such a nicely crafted bass. (for $349.00)

UTILIZATION

The omen-4 is quite small, lgre and comfortable. The sound is round and very powerful. The handle is easy plutt. But hey, everyone is DIFFERENT.

SOUNDS

Jou via a di-box in a console and a small amp 50Watts ... I know what brand. The sound is nickel. We do what we want.

OVERALL OPINION

I have not long since, but I regret not buying. The report qualitprix is, I think, excellent.
Schecter brand is well known for its quality guitars ... well it is the same for the bass.

Even if the omen-4 is an entry-level home, the construction is solid and well finished. I wanted a good bass too CHRE, I.

Only negative, is difficult. I think there is a distributor who call'd franais Gn'G (G and G, what) ... But is that Schecter is the stock ... also applies to the scratch.
