I was looking for an interface with a firewire connector, 8 inputs, inverters and pramps honntes a knob for the volume to "mute", and two headphone outputs with volume indpendants between noon and .
I use it alone or with external pramps (P-1 and EM in silver lunchbox) to do all kinds of bag and mix.
Config: PC quadcore Q6600 - 4 GB of RAM

UTILIZATION

Ultra-stable drivers for me. Most often I use it with Cubase 5 and I can record 8 tracks simultanment no problem.
I manage a latency of 128 for a project with a 15aines tracks and 4 or 5 sessions of virtual instruments (BFD, Guitar Rig, Amplitube, or other ...)
I attack the project with a latency of 64 (buffers)

GETTING STARTED

Installation hyper easily. Idalie configuration. No incompatibility with Windows 7 64 bit. The manual is clear enough.
However the accompanying software (Saffire Mix Control) requires a little getting used to. Nothing mchant.

OVERALL OPINION

I normment information before acqurir. I tudi all models of most brands in the same price range (Motu, MAUDIO, Echo, Steinberg)
I absolutely love everything about this card with may be a small DI BMOL on inputs whose sound is below the rest.
The report quality price seems unbeatable. The pramplis his rglos and can be bypassed via the line input. At this time the Systm switch on adapter line level that's absolutely not the color. I Verify.
