I updated my Mac mini to an M1 Mac Mini this January and my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 (2nd Gen) audio interface started producing a strange error in Logic:
Strange static/distorted sound occurs during playback in Logic, for example playing a software instrument track and listening to it in solo (no other tracks playing). This strange static noise comes (and nothing of the track can be heard, only this static!) and then goes but it comes so often that it makes the Focusrite UNUSABLE!
- The Focusrite driver is the latest, 3.11.
- Before Mac M1 I used a Mac 2011 and didn't have this problem with the Focusrite.
- If I select the Mac Mini M1 speaker in Logic, there's no crackling there!

Please help!

Hey everybody,

I've installed a beta driver (Focusrite Control 3.12.138 - Mac) from the Focusrite Beta driver site ( https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite/beta ).
So far it seems this beta driver solved all my problems!!!
