Dynamic enhance

Boss EH-2 EnhancerPublished on 07/14/11 at 14:41
This pedal would be the conductor to the later and current boss pedal the Boss Dyna Drive. This pedal essentially does the exact same thing as a the Boss Dyna Drive, but with a few more features. This pedal work on the dynamics of your playing as well as boosting signals. These pedals were used in recording sessions where running giant pedal board or long lines of cables degrade your signal. This boost the response and added a lot more dynamics to the tone. It modify the high frequencies of your tone. What you get is more clarity and a cleaner signal.

This is a boost pedal and a dynamic peal. you get added dynamics to your tone and you get a better boosted signal to the tone as well. The experts says play with this pedal on for a while and probably not notice much of a difference until you turn it off. Then you get to experience the difference in this pedal almost like you would be A/B two different amps or guitars.

This pedal doesn't add distortion to your tone or any other frequencies but just boosting those high frequencies to get you signal moving with more precision and clarity. It is a good pedal for recording with but if you are using a boutique amp then this doesn't make that much of a difference.

OVERALL OPINION

These pedals were manufactured for about 7 years from 1990 to 1997. They can be had on the classifieds all day long. I continue to see them for right around $70 to $80. Not a bad price for a pedal that may or may not be needed in your rig. I would recommend picking one up if you are about to do some recording because at this price it could be a no brainer. If you don't like it or do not need it you can sell it and almost break even for an experiment.

Boss EH-2 EnhancerPublished on 11/01/09 at 19:09
The Boss EH-2 is a foot pedal designed for electric guitar to 'enhance' your tone.  It gives you a brighter tone and cuts through a mix or a room quite well.  The pedal has a 1/4 inch input and output and like all Boss pedals can be powered by either a nine volt battery or power supply.  It isn't a rack mountable piece of gear as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The make up of the Boss EH-2 is quite simple to follow as it only has three parameters - it has knobs mix, frequency, and sensitivity - with an LED light to show the rate of sensitivity.  That is all of the parameters that this has to offer although this doesn't mean that you can't get a good amount of varying tones between the...…

UTILIZATION

The make up of the Boss EH-2 is quite simple to follow as it only has three parameters - it has knobs mix, frequency, and sensitivity - with an LED light to show the rate of sensitivity.  That is all of the parameters that this has to offer although this doesn't mean that you can't get a good amount of varying tones between the parameters given.  I think that just about anybody could figure out how to use this pretty quickly without a manual and regardless of experience...

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Boss EH-2 is pretty good overall even if you only use it subtly.  It is similar to other enhancers, exciters, and tone boosters, but it has its own sound and its own capabilities.  I use the pedal with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb or '65 Deluxe Reverb amp most of the time for recording and live shows, so I think I've definitely been getting an accurate read on what this pedal actually sounds like and I definitely like what I'm hearing.  While it isn't a pedal that I tend to use all that often, I like having it around because you never know when a unique enhancer like this will come in handy...

OVERALL OPINION

The Boss EH-2 is an older pedal in the Boss collection and is no longer made, but if you are interested in getting one you should be able to find a used one for a reasonable price.  While I do think that there are some better options if you are just looking for a tone booster, this will definitely have the same effects and does have a very nice sound.  I'm a big fan of the older Boss pedals as I not only think that they are great collector's items but generally enjoy the sounds they have to offer.  All in all, the Boss EH-2 is definitely worth a look if you want a unique enhancer/exciter.

Change frequency in one click, very subtle!

Boss EH-2 EnhancerPublished on 08/22/12 at 03:18
(This content has been automatically translated from French)
This pedal changes the sound frequencies of the guitar to give it more dynamic presence of gloss and depending on the settings made

UTILIZATION

It has 3 buttons:
- Mix: who can go INV (inverted) or NOR (normal) to boost or cut the signal
- Frequency: choose the frequency that will cut or boost via the Mix knob
- Direction (sensitive) will adjust the sensitivity of previous adjustments
to get an idea of how the program, the manual is very useful, if you have not, do not hesitate to download via the Site Boss, it would be a shame to keep this pedal like an ostrich to a sheet tax ...

to get an idea of how the program, the manual is very useful, if you have not, do not hesitate to download via the Site Boss, it would be a shame to keep this pedal like an ostrich to a sheet tax ...

SOUND QUALITY

Some have said that we have a marine mammal hearing to hear a difference ... I say he should just have a good ear and have not listened to music too loud, too long ..
Because FRANKLY! Must be deaf or have a guitar (or amp) rotten to not hear the difference!
I found this really great pedal. It allows me to enhance certain frequencies (his job) and totally change my sound. I can go from a thick sound, a sound very 60's light just by touching it (provided you have made the right settings)
This allows many combinations if you play between its active pickups and one pedal on one or two of them, it changes completely.
it adds no saturation is not a distortion or overdrive, it just changes the sound by emphasizing frequencies chosen, and vice versa ... a pedal stroke, hop, it was a new sound!

OVERALL OPINION

If some find it useless, is that they do not need .. I find it very useful, especially subtle.
I got it for 30 euros in excellent condition (except for the battery connection is oxidized due to a sulfated battery no doubt, and that the former owner has not seen fit to mention ... * cough * but ... in two welds on the circuit board with a new battery holder, it gets better quickly, it's not annoying, especially if you use an adapter)
This pedal is very rare, probably because it was just sold, because few guitarists have really understood what it could be used ... when it is subtle, it takes more effort than Boss DS1 ...
Now, who said rare, does not mean necessarily expensive ... seen that this pedal does not interest many people, those who hope to sell 100 or 150 euro (see notice below) dig your finger in the eye until the blade ... Because in general, an effect which we do not know what it can really give, we will not look at a price defying logic ... the argus is 37 euros (for the moment) so you can find the "easy" (everything is relative) for about 30 euros, and there it's worth a try .. but if you want to get rid ... sell both the same price, otherwise it go away. (Should not take buyers for pigeons anyway ...)
I will not buy I more expensive, especially since I wanted to test out of curiosity because it démangeais me to hear what she could bring me ... and value for money is excellent, I am very happy and I care!

Effective ...!

Enhancer pedal, literal translation "Enhancer" has three knobs: Mix, Frequency and Sensitivity. Made only from 1990 to 1997 by the Japanese company with a mediocre sales success, this pedal is quite hard to find ...
His role: basically, it adds or removes clarity, and dynamic presence to your sound by altering the frequency and phase but to be effective, it must necessarily be all end up in the chain (or Imperatively behind distos other fuzz or overdrive and other pre-amp) ... if not?? low it is completely useless if you put it in the beginning of string, so if you have an effects loop on your amp, and although that's certainly not up and also put all of the same before the reverb and...…

UTILIZATION

As usual ... one branch (the right place ...) and it clicks we seek what we want as her and voila ...
The settings are very effective but the best when you find your ideal sound, glued the knobs (I'm kidding of course ^ ^) because it's very hard to have twice the same sound as the knobs are responsive and effective, we regret the absence of graduations on the buttons in order to record and reproduce the exact type of several personal settings ...

SOUND QUALITY

This is a really good ways to turn any type of sound from light to ultra saturated, well we finally find happiness. She acted a bit like the presence or brightness settings on the amp but it snaps at will ..

OVERALL OPINION

I recently started using to erase some of the high frequency high gain distos a little "loud" and it really sculpts the sound in any case I find it much more efficient than a conventional equalizer
Its only flaw: very hard to find, and like everything that is scarce and prices soared well if you're lucky enough to find one at 25 euros as I read below, go for it without hesitation, you can always sell between 100 and 150 euros if it does not suit you ....
Anyway, I love it, this is the perfect complement to fine tune the distos ...
