Value For Money : Correct
I worked with the System HK Lucas 2000 during a summer full benefits at 45, here's my review:
- Strengths:

* Small footprint, ease of transport
* Simplified wiring, everything is in the subwoofer (amplifier, filters)
* Satisfactory performance of 3 subwoofer
* Easy expansion (with a second example Lucas)
* The amp and electronics are generally well thought out and offers a good value for money
- Weaknesses:

* Limiting non-detachable and easy 'clip-'
* Tone too 'mobile disco' and very difficult to refine into live sound, a huge power loss related to a clear EQ for the live.
* Sound discomobile for 220 people, 90 people maximum sound great live (and indoor).
* Curve not adjustable filters
* Limiter strong presence in the midrange, difficulty to highlight a voice in the midst of big bass.
* A good mixer is needed to refine the equalizer depending on the benefit.
* Fragility of the system, no secrets to trim the weight, the wood used in manufacturing is less dense (note I did not say thinner) so the first little shock abyss and begins on the wood. This also supports the passage very poorly wet to very dry (I say this for the benefit and outdoors in summer, like the day before he pluviote and the next big sun)
* Premature wear of HP, is the points that really hurt because there is no justified reason gain weight or size (except the price, further adding to the margin). The HP headers are used for the HP low-end tire very quickly. Suddenly your system quickly loses power.
* Finally it is a short range system even if you double it, after 13m max distortion.
HK remains true to its recipe previously used for the Lucas 1000, without improving the defects on the "upper range", overall it just boosts power.
In conclusion if you are heading to flee the live system, which will do you no good ....
EV Eliminator prefer him, or DAS DS115A + SUB18A.
I personally use the latter system and value for money is incomparable.
