« Guild Bluesbird AAA »

I purchased this superb guitar at a local Guitar Center and paid just under $1300, which included the hard case.

Everything about it is perfection. This is an extremely versitile guitar. With round-wound strings, it is excellent for songs demanding a higher tonal quality. Throw flats on it (my personel favorite) and it sings forever a beautiful low, thick tone, perfect for jazz tunes or rhythm backing for almost any situation. The tonal/volume controls are easy use during performance and it is a very well balanced guitar making it easy to sling around your neck for hours on end.

I really haven't found any flaws with the guitar. I suppose it would be nice if the top of the body conformed better to my forearm. After several hours of playing the inside of my arm gets a bit chaffed from the edge of the guitar - a common problem with this "style" of guitar.

The joinery between the neck and body is miles ahead of any other manufacturer. There is not a single hint on the entire guitar of where one piece begins and another starts. The AAA tobacco flame of my choosen axe is awesome and the finish looks like it could drip onto your shoes. I've been hammering daily on this guitar for the last three years and it has not balked in the least bit in any area. I did replace the stock strap nuts with locking strap nuts, but only because I wanted to protect it from the possibility of dropping to the ground during a lively performance.

Probably the best electric guitar of its style on the market - period. For both price and quality, you can't beat it.
