The M Audio Ozonic is a pretty good midi controller, its one of the first ones that I had a chance to use. There are enough sliders that you can program all of your knobs in your digital audio workstation to them and be good too go. This keyboard is like all of the other thousands of midi controllers on the market, the only thing that stands out is that it has a lit up LED screen to navigate with and set up your programs with. You don’t have to set up programs in order to use it though, so if your just looking to hook it up and play look at some midi controllers without a screen because you don’t have to have it to use it. Its for more advanced users.

I prefer the 88 over the smaller sizes for no restrictions on creativity! Just make sure you do research on what OS you have (ex: win7 64bit, win vista, etc) even if it says there are no drivers available on their site for Win 7, windows 7 has a built in midi driver. It works good, just do research on your ASIO stuff as well!

The feel of the semi-weighted keys is different than a regular piano, but easy to get used to. I didn't even bother to read the manual I just hooked it up to my Mac right out of the box and started playing in Garage Band. It's serviced me very well and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an 88-key midi controller and uses programs like Garage Band, FL Studio, Reason,

There are still (as of 11/2011) no 64bit windows drivers available from the M-Audio site. Which basically means, the device still works, but with only one program at once. So if that is a limitation you care about, maybe check on the M-Audio site to see if these drivers are available yet. This limitation is apparently not a factor on OSX.

Not bad, if not extra!

see description manufacturer
IT is expensive and not nearly unchanged rate level in 6 years ...
usually a good sign, something on the market too long and always at the same price

Sound Card 4 inputs (2 preamp), 4 outputs: very good no problems
Input Output pm: RAS
8 midi controller rotas, 9 faders, 2 pedals, a joystick: completeness and operational
37-key keyboard: I'm not super demanding either but I find nickel

The setup is fairly simple once you get fat around once, we can really hope to configure everything

Hi all, possessor of an M-Audio Ozonic for almost 6 years (j 'm in my 2nd), I have one thing to say: EXCELLENT! all in one, it's solid, it rotates, it can even operate standalone (no sound inside, not a synth).
I changed it last year for fear that mine starts messing around, as it was 5 a, s I used it a lot, I preferred to anticipate when I need it, I can not allow me he kidding or else ... but I said, this was only the anticipation, it has never screwed up the first as the second ...

Perfect for beginners

- 4 analog inputs (microphone, instrument, and two lines (mono))
- 4 mono outputs (2 balanced)
- Expression pedal jack
- Firewire connection

I chose it because it was an all in one solution, midi keyboard and audio interface to start computer music.Je wanted to record my guitar, my way, have a MIDI keyboard, and low latency.

Level converters, it is largely sufficient to correct records for a model or sample.

The keyboard has a nice touch but not enough to start, especially if one has never made a piano is not disturbing. The knobs and faders are correct, but need not be violent.

The manual is simple, and editing is done with the help of software that is very effective.

At the installation is fairly simple. I used it initially with XP and Vista (which was too unstable at firewire), I now use it with Windows and seven runs without flinching.

I use it for 4 years. He never had any problems.

I never had any audio interface or MIDI keyboard before. What I like most is the side all in one, and its efficiency, stability. I also like the joystick! Is the controller that I used on the most stupid.

What I like least, in fact there is not much, it served me well, and this for a long time. Firewire can be problematic if it was not a good firewire card, but the same problem with all firewire interfaces. Initially I found it expensive, but no, it is well worth its price!

With the experience I do not know if I would do this choice because it no longer fits my current needs. I hesitate to sell it elsewhere to change the config, but I'm attached to my little keyboard:) Anyway, I made a good investment.
