Labana Technology indeed was at Midem last weekend in France to introduce FretX, their prototype of a new smart learning system for guitar.
FretX is an Arduino-based electronic device that fixes on the fretboard of any guitar and can recognize notes and chords and show them to the student with a LED lightning system so they can learn songs.
The system will be completed with a mobile app, it can also recognize the sound of another guitar played next to it, which makes it perfect for teachers.
FretX is still a prototype, its designers are planning on launching a crowfunding campaign at the end of the year and launch the product early 2016. Here’s the first video presentation, full details are expected soon at www.fretx.rocks.
