Hello,
I just bought a converter BMC-2 TC Electronic for 299 € at my local hifi dealer https://www.blog-hifi.infine-audio.com/in-fine-audio-demenage/ . It was on his advice (I wanted to tweak my cd deck 723 and thus replace the internal converters) that I recommended this device dac,
I must admit that I do not regret at all the board is a compact device designed for monitoring the source (it seems than in terms of musicality according to some forums many devices or other equivalent price worth more 5000 € 00! for my part I have found a significant improvement in the quality Audible generally: spatial, transparent, dynamic, and listening to the cd Cantate Domino Proprius label is indicative of the quality of this device, a comparison with the analog output of my cd cambridge azur 540, gives me a deep, carnal aspect of a voice that until now was unknown to me, listening vraimment takes another dimension, it breathes! (listening on efficient system (my personal website http://kalkan0.free.fr/ : Onken 360 hp 416 8b, 2-inch compression flag Iwata jbl 2440, jbl tweeter and Fostex T925 or 2405, Hafler P4000 amplifier)
In short a small universal device (optical digital input (Tos) or SPDIF outputs xlr xlr-rca condon therefore to be expected in some cases, a premium outlet for headphones (listening on headphones is a beating beyer 990 (ko in the first round) my poor little headphone amp dedicated dot 3 +) one wish: that tc electronic imagine such a DAC for analog output 5 channels dedicated home theater!
