After the Mixer Kit introduced in 2013 by Ion Audio, a your dutch genius launches this year physical controls for tablets.
The Tuna Knobs were created by Samuel Verburg, aka Tuna DJ Gear. The project has already been crowdfunded on Kickstarter and will allow musicians who work on multitouch tablets to use real knobs to adjust the values of the app controls, just like on a hardware controller.
Under each knob is a rubber rounded surface that installs on the tablet screen and reproduces the equivalent of the finger surface, which allows for creating a contact with the knob and change the parameters of the app with which it is used. This rubber system is already used on many stylus.
The Tuna Knobs will be available in November. It is still possible to fund the project on Kickstarter. The unit price is 11€ and 3, 4, 6, 8 or 10-knob packs are also available.
