ARA TechLabs, a new Catalonian company, will soon launch Arapolarmic, an app that can measure and monitor the microphone directivity.
ARA TechLabs design audio tools based on augmented reality. Arapolarmic, which is first creation, used this technology to monitor in real time the directivity of any microphone and displays on a tablet this polar pattern over the real image of the mic on the screen (this image is shown in real time via the tablet camera).
According to ARA TechLabs, the system works with the most popular microphones and is based on the technical data of each model to generate the polar pattern on the screen, along with the XY position analysis of the mic. Note that these technical data are also displays on the screen.
