«  My distortion pedal reference »

Yellow pedal a little rotten in the classic format Boss, 1 in / 1 out, and a standard power supply. Unexceptional. Oh yes! A row of 3 double potentiometers for volume, gain and tone (ie 6 settings total), another potentiometer to adjust the general behavior of the switch and jack Additional ... interesting stuff, but what all can this serve?

UTILIZATION

So, for once, yes, the configuration is very simple, requires Boss. It was actually a distortion pedal with two channels: a crunch and a p ..... true saturation of two large valseuses. The single knob that is not dual to choose the mode of selection of these two channels, depending on whether you choose to use the pedal switch or plug on the remote side. If we connect an external switch, you can switch a little extra crunch and between lead and use the general switch of the pedal to bypass it.

SOUND QUALITY

With regard to the crunch, I rather like. Boss was the grain that displeases many, this famous sound of bees I find this pedal not so embarrassing. It seems less present than on other overdrive pedals brand. We can use this channel to simply boost the signal of the instrument but also to reach a saturation level fairly consistent, and get her really dirty. For having other pedals in the same "vein" (a term taken with quotes huh), I do not mean to bump into mediums as we can meet on the TS-like type BB Preamp (I compared to her because I possess, but clearly was not at all the same grain). Personally, I love it, but it's very subjective.
For the saturation channel, what about if it can really send the wood and the sound is very accurate. To my mind, but I have a very limited cultural distortion pedals, you can easily reach the metal sounds of the 80s, it's pretty trippy if you like it.

OVERALL OPINION

I love this pedal! I bought it by accident without really having tested or listened to, because I was looking for a two channel pedal Boss format for reasons of space on my pedalboard, and this is at least the only one I've found . It is one of the few pedals I already know that I can not separate myself because it covers a very wide range of sounds. For me, the price / quality ratio is very good, since it is found on the secondhand market at around 60 euros.
